YES, you can use them in the gym. They stayed in my ears while doing free
weights, chest, flies, chin-ups etc, while being loud & clear enough to enjoy
my music, to help drive me through my workout.

As with most ear phones, they will fall out of your ear from the constant bouncing
from any high impact cardio. They stayed in my ears fine while using both the
cycle and ski machines. If you're doing high impact cardio,
then I would suggest getting Urbanz HOOK-ON EAR versions (£12.99).

The good news is NO, they didn't break and passed the 'Yank, Drop 
& Step' tests with flying colours.

Yank: Mimic catching them on clothing or machines.
Drop: Dropping the product several times from height.
Step: Mimic the effect of accidentally walking over the ear buds.
Truly a remarkable set of earphones, this is due to the great build of the product.
