Thank you for your time!

Ever since I was young I have always been interested in being fit. I used to watch Fitness pageants on television and think that women competing had it all! Healthy, strong and beautiful. As I got older I realized my lifestyle and the way I was raised had me headed in the opposite direction. I quickly started reading everything I could get my hands on in order
to try to change my life.

My favorite exercises are usually made of compound movements and always include the core and legs.
I like to lift heavy and really get my heart going by training two or more body parts at once. I always include
some high intensity plyo in between sets in order to get my cardio in while weight training.

I lift 3-4 days per week and do cardio 4-6 days per week.

I week in my life is busy but fabulous! I make sure I do not take clients before a certain time of the day
so I can get all of my own training, cooking and errands done and out of the way. This way I can give my
clients 100% of my attention and time. Saturdays are for my husband, friends and family and Sunday I
get to run a Savage Sunday Session (thru www.cathysavagefitness.com) where I get to teach and
incredibly fun, high intensity, functional workout and then coach and prep them for fitness competitions!
Helping people achieve their goals is what has made me love my job and my weekly routine.

I do not do any martial arts but I find it intriguing and give them so much credit because of the discipline required.

I would not say I have a special diet. I really believe in eating everything your body needs to function properly
and look great! This includes starches, protein, fruit, veggies, good fats and plenty of water!
Do not forget that sleep is essential to living a healthy life!

I love Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, and oatmeal! You can guarantee I am eating one or all three of these things in a day.

I do not take any supplements. I get everything I need from food and essential fats and oils. Once in a while I will grab a protein shake if there is nothing else around.

Take one day and one goal at a time. If it feels too overwhelming chances are you have taken on too much. It does not happen over night. This is long journey, but if you start now the rewards it gives show up in every area of your life. Relationships, work and overall health will improve! This is a lifestyle so it has to be attainable and reasonable. Set realistic goals and find new motivation everyday. Never give up no matter how many times you fail! Failure is a big part of success.

If there is anything else you would like to add please do so.

Health and fitness has changed my whole life along with my families. It is all about balance and realizing that when you are happy with yourself you are able to give so much more. You will free up your mind to think outside of your own problems and unhappiness! I promise that all the hard work is nothing compared to the payoff in the end!
