Realizing and trying to attain my body’s full potential with regards to strength and appearance. Also the sheer enjoyment of success when gaining new strength moves.
My favorite exercises consist of circuits involving specialized gymnastic skills. Among my favorites are chin levers and handstand push ups. I don’t have any special training methods as such, I do however believe in variety. My workouts involve anything and everything, from car pushing to classic cross fit training.
Generally everyday, if I feel I need a rest I will take a day off. Sometimes if I am feeling extraordinarily fit and energetic my training partners and I will do two workouts per day.
I do not belong to a gym so my routine revolves around the weather and my training partners. Although this is not recommended, I do not have a weekly routine. I do manage to fit in at least 2 Olympic lifting sessions per week as my partner is a weight lifter. I also strive to fit in at least 3 cross fit work outs per week. The rest of the sessions I do are ‘play sessions’. These types of training sessions are very enjoyable as I get to work on my hand balancing tricks.
No I don’t train any martial arts at the moment but it is definitely a possibility for the future.
I don’t believe in a diet as such, just eating the right foods to benefit your training and body. I believe it is
important to indulge in something naughty everyday! , But of course in moderation.
King Prawns, garlic hummus on multigrain bread and in summer, frozen fruit juice.
I have experimented with protein shakes and found them to give no effect. They are far too expensive for someone as frugal as me. I am a firm believer in being able to find everything necessary to be successful
through following a natural diet.
If you are just starting out start slow. Exercising is not a phase it is a lifestyle. To maintain exercising
throughout your life find something you enjoy doing. Start a group with like minded people and set
achievable goals together. Variety is the key to success, give everything a go.
Kylie's love for athleticism started with gymnastics when she was 7 years old, she was forced to retired in 2005 due to having 3 full knee reconstructions. During this time she developed a passion for fitness. After leaving High School she studied at A.U.T. University doing the Bachelor of Sport and Recreation. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Sports & Recreation Major & Coaching.
At the moment she currently coaches competitive gymnastics and adult classes. She is a Reps Registed Certified Personal Trainer. Her certification are recognized Abroad, all over Australia, New Zealand & Europe.
At the end of 2008 I discovered you tube and watched my first video of ‘Hit’ doing his thing! I had never seen this type of thing before! I did my research and started going to the park. After a while I thought it would be cool to post a video on youtube. The response was amazing. For years I had been looking for a gymnastic training replacement that would push my body, something that would be fun and kept my core strong. Calisthenics is definitely it!!
My hobbies are B-boying, Gymnastics, Ballet, Hand Balancing, Parkour, and all Calisthenics exercises.
