Fitness Model, Personal Trainer and NPC figure competitor...

Bio:

I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and NPC figure competitor. I used to dream of looking like the fitness models in OXYGEN Magazine and knew if I just had the knowledge of what they ate and how they trained, I could achieve the same look.

My goals for 2010 are to compete in more shows and help more people change their lives with fitness. Helping others believe in themself is my purpose and passion!

What got you into working out?

What are your favourite exercises? and do you have any special training methods that you use?

How often do you train?

What is your weekly routine?

Do you train any martial arts? if yes, what was your martial arts journey?

Do you all have any special diets?

What is your favourite Healthy Food(s)?

What supplements do you take ? (protein, amino's etc)

What advice would you give our readers on exercising?

Thank you for your time.

I started working out because I had gained weight due to inactivity and bad eating habits.

I had 5 knee surgeries from an injury and knew I needed to keep my legs strong to avoid knee pain.

I wanted my old body back so I trained for a figure competition and I was hooked from that point on.

I love squats, lunges, leg extensions, deadlifts, pull-ups, dumbbell chest press, and all back exercises.

I lift 4-6 days per week depending on my goals. I do cardio 3-6 days per week at 30 minutes.

My routine changes from week to week. I train each bodypart 1-2 times per week. I change my schedule and exercises to keep my muscles guessing and constantly growing.

I have had no martial arts training.

I don't feel like I have a “special diet.” I eat clean, non-processed foods 90% of the time and cheat

1-2 times per week. I try to eat whole foods and a few shakes when I don't have time to eat.

protein pancakes made with egg whites, whey protein, and sugar free syrup.

I take a multivitamin, creatine, glutamine, fish oil, and whey protein.

Make it a lifestyle. Don't look at exercise as something to just lose weight.

It will make your body strong and healthy both physically and mentally. It is something that

has to have a priority in your life just like brushing your teeth. You should get in 30 min

A day whether it is weight training, walking, riding A bike, hiking, canoeing, dancing, yoga,

pilates, karate, etc. Just do something to get your body moving. Your body is A blessing

from God and should be treated and respected as a gift. Any exercise will be hard at first,

but it gets easier and easier. You deserve to feel good and love your body!
