the start and always felt so out of place because I didn’t go to football
games or understand anything football.. it was real life Varsity Blues.
I started theater in the 6th grade and found that I could be anything
and everything and people believed it. Being on stage was the only place
I felt completely at peace and I knew that acting was my path in life.
I don’t really have one. I run, bike, go to the gym, take a class here and there..
I like to keep it random.
I am a big runner. The first marathon I ran, I twisted my ankle during mile 2 but I finished the race.. as I ran, I fractured that ankle and still finished in 4:00:16. I went from finish line to the emergency room. The following year I ran another marathon and finished in 2:58:59. I felt pretty good about that.
I do a lot of things upside down. I can hang on anything and it keeps it interesting for me.. Ive been reprimanded by management at the gym I go to, so I just do it when they’re not looking.
I do some kind of cardio every day, whether it’s running, hiking, or Funk Night at The Echo in LA.. I think breaking a sweat everyday is healthy.
Ive never had any formal martial arts training. When I shot The Sorcerer’s Apprentice,
i was taught some basic blocking techniques but all I was blocking was CGI
so I think if it were a real person, id have a black eye in no time.
Id love to learn Kung-Fu. I think the principals and mental focus needed to
make Kung-Fu work are beautiful.
I’m lactose intolerant so there is a lot I can’t have, but other than that, I’ll eat
whatever tastes good.
Quinoa, coconut water, and I used to LOVE kombucha until I found out I liked it
so much because it was getting me drunk.
I dig hemp protein after a workout but that’s about it.. I eat enough
variety so I don’t have to take any supplements. I don’t want to
have to take a pill for anything if I don’t have to.
If you hate going to the gym: don’t go. Find a class with other people who
hate the gym and it will be a lot more fun for you.
Exercise needs to be fun, it should be an outlet for stress, and you should
mentally feel good while you’re doing it. If it isn’t any of those things,
I’d suggest you switch it up.
